Sensei Jason Nishime Teaches Class at College of Mt. St. Joseph
Sensei Jason Nishime of Nishime Family Karate in Crescent Springs is teaching a martial art class at the College of Mt. St. Joseph beginning in January.  The class teachs beginner level Karate with an emphasis on fitness and self-defense.

Sensei Ben Nishime Wins MMA Fight
Sensei Ben Nishime of Nishime Family Karate in Bright attended the Ohio Extreme Fighting Holiday Havoc held in Dayton, Ohio on December 15th.  He fought in the Welterweight Amateur Division at 170 pounds and won by unanimous decision after fighting the full 3 rounds. 

David Nolte Wins Bronze at 2007 Honolulu International Karate-Do Championships
Eighteen-year-old David Nolte won a Bronze medal in fighting at the 2007 Honolulu International Karate-Do Championships held in Hawaii November 24, 2007.  He had some tough competition in his division, including teams from Japan, Australia, Canada, and Pan Am countries, as well as World Champion, George Kotaka.  This was the 48th year for the competition.

Mackenzie Rahaim Wins Silver at Jr. Pan Ams
Fifteen-year-old Mackenzie Rahaim of Clifton brought home a Silver Medal in fighting from the Jr. Pam Am Karate Cup held August 29- September 1 in Quito, Ecuador. Mackenzie was part of the 53-member Team USA, which brought back a total of 8 gold, 8 silver, and 8 bronze.

Mackenzie earned her spot on Team USA by winning 2 Gold Medals in fighting at the USA National Karate Federation National Championships in July. She has had a very successful year having won 3 Gold Medals and 2 Bronze Medals at the AAU National Karate Championships which were also held in July and a Gold, Silver, and Bronze when she competed in Japan in March.
